My advice is to fly everywhere within China. Flights are dirt cheap. Some advice NO tea or art from the Chinese peeps in Beijing and Shanghai!!! Hangzhou is a MUST (2 hours from Shang.) Beijing - the parks are beautiful; Tienanmen at night is great, forbidden city is getting major crap for building a STARBUCKS!!!! within it!, some great food markets with insects to check out, Peking duck is a MUST Yangzhou - boat ride, cooking school is a must!!!! I also had fun doing a painting class. They also have a great local candy out there - I forget the name but try it!!
